{Foursome: A Sneak Peek} Sheridan, WY Family Photography
I’m finally back from my hiatus, and although I loved having a few months to re-energize, remodel our new house and spend time with my family, I’m ready to be back! =)
Today was my first family session of 2010, and although it’s still super cold and muddy/snowy/rainy here, we managed to land on a very beautiful morning. I’m so very appreciative to my neighbor who has kindly allowed me to use her property (and my friend who made the connection! =)), and with clients who wanted rural pictures in winter, I think we did our best! =)
This family was so fun, and truly their kids were the sweetest! I am around a lot of families and it’s always fun to find a family that genuinely loves to be together. Their little girl wanted in on every hug and could barely be pried from her daddy’s leg - and you know what? I love it. I don’t mind not always having the perfect poses because photography, in my opinion, should be all about interactions, everyday life and simply capturing personalities. Thank you to this amazing family!!! I so enjoyed meeting you! (And it was soooo hard to pick a few for the blog!! There were so many fun ones!)

And the two responsible for all this crazy cuteness! =)
Thanks for stopping by! I’m off to Denver in the morning, but will be back next week with newborn photos and boudoir photos! See you then!

{Mini Session for Kids} Sheridan, Wyoming Child Photographer
2010 is looking to be a fabulous year, and as the bookings line up and my time becomes less and less available I wanted to provide a way for families who prefer a quick, miniature session of their kiddos this year, to do just that. =)
Here are the details! Space is limited, so don’t hesitate to contact me early!

{Happy New Year, Part 3} Wyoming Photographers
Whew! I think this will be the last installment of this *little* series - next year I think I’ll just incorporate a slide show! lol. I spent the morning trying to get a few snaps of my own kiddos, and well, let’s just chalk it up to entertainment! I will share those with you tomorrow - photographing my own children always seems next to impossible for me as they never look at me, they have their own agenda entirely, and one cannot seem to open her eyes without squinting!! Sigh.
Anyway, here is the last installment of my 2009 in Review. A word to potential 2010 clients, bookings are filling in for Spring and Summer, so if you are interested in a session, please contact me early!
Onto the images…
First off, a family from Montana who traveled here for their session - we had a blast and I fell in love with their little one!!!

Next up was a fun pair of twins and their sweet parents:
A very fun senior who made my job so, so easy:

An opportunity to contribute to THIS beautiful little organization by photographing these adorable bumps and babes:
One of my annual, best, sweetest clients ever!!!:
And one of the most adorable babes I’ve ever laid eyes on!!:

I think that sums up my year: AMAZING clients and so much FUN! Thanks again, and I’m looking forward to see what 2010 holds! =)
I may be back this afternoon with some of my own…or if my cabinets entice me, it may be tomorrow! Have a great day!
{Happy New Year, Part 2} Sheridan, WY Photographers
Sorry for the slight delay…I’m learning I really shouldn’t promise anything on this blog because my life seems to get away from me at times! At the moment, I’m painting my kitchen cabinets (endless amounts of cabinets) and it is sucking the life right out of me! ;) Actually, I’m quite enjoying most of it but it is so. very. time. consuming. I had planned to take January and February off from work and then….well, I created a whole new variety of work for myself. =) I’m getting the itch to start taking sessions again though, so hopefully I will finish this project sooner rather than later!!
As for sessions for new and returning clients, I will be posting some new specials and things (in addition to the current special) and will start booking mid February! Keep an eye out for those!
If you are interested in a spring session, get on the books now as I typically book 6-8 weeks in advance. I have some new collections and offerings this year that I think will be a huge hit; I’m getting very excited for a new year!!
Speaking of New Year, here is the second part of my 2009 Year-In-Review:
I truly have the most amazing clients!! I am so blessed! This sweet lady was one of my first sessions of 2009 and was so much fun to work with!

And she had one very cute little man, I might add:

This next family is one of my most treasured clients - I absolutely adore them! We met early in the year to photograph this handsome little guy:

And several months later, he’d grown up a little more and was about to become a big brother:

And then his baby sis arrived and my camera absolutely loved her!:

This next set is of one of my very favorite clients - I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for years and have enjoyed seeing their girls grow and getting to know their sweet mom:

And new clients that I feel so lucky to have met:

And another sweet baby girl I got to photograph; love those first few days and weeks (this first one has always cracked me up…it’s like she’s trying hard to answer a question!):

Okay, I’m realizing this is way harder than I ever thought possible!!! Picking just a few from each session feels like torture. ;) Okay, here we go. Keep going. =)
Onto one of my most memorable sessions of the entire year; I seriously fell in love with this family!

Well, seeing that I have another slew of client folders to get through, I will stop for today. More to come…and hopefully within the week! LOL. I’m off to put my painting clothes back on! =)
Have a happy weekend!

Although it’s now into the second week of January, I’ve recently been reflecting on all my wonderful clients this year and wanted to say a huge
THANK YOU
to each and every one of them! I truly had the best year ever, and I only have my valued and incredible clients to thank for that!! From awesome engagement and boudoir sessions (click both words to view more sensitive images), to family and newborn sessions, my time spent with each client was so rewarding and fulfilling! I feel incredibly blessed to work with such fun people, make such great friendships throughout the process, and do what I love most!
2009 in Review: (Part 2 and 3 coming over the weekend!)

Thanks for looking, and I’ll be back in a day or so with even more favorites from this past year!

{Beauty Full} Sheridan, Wyoming Photographers
This beautiful creature is my best friend. It’s hard to even know where to begin on someone such as this - a woman who is not only stunning on the outside, but one with character that never falls short. I can say without hesitation that although she may be fallible, her intentions are ALWAYS pure - and that is hard to find in another human being, especially in women I have found over the years. There are those friends who you care about…and then there are those you would call your own - those you honestly couldn’t envision your life without. And she is exactly that. I realize this sounds silly, but this particular woman is nothing short of my soul mate…in female form. =) Oh, and isn’t she just the cutest thing you’ve ever seen?!? =)

Enjoy your buildup to Christmas! It appears as though Mrs. Claus will be going it alone this year on our home front. Sigh. Ah, well. I am blessed Santa has such a solid job at the moment. =)

{Doll Baby} Sheridan, Wyoming Newborn Photographer
This little bundle of love arrived on my doorstep this afternoon - but he wasn’t left for us, unfortunately, but brought by his sweet mama! =) I had the pleasure of photographing him a little over a month ago still tucked away in his mama’s tummy, and unfortunately missed his birth as he decided to come in record time while I was driving to the hospital! But this can officially be his debut. =) He was truly the strongest, most alert and UNSLEEPY baby I’ve ever been around for just over a week old. The kid is ready to crawl!
So his mom and I enjoyed spending our afternoon attempting to get him to doze off into sweet baby land, while he defied all sleeping odds entirely. I snapped off about 5 pictures of him actually sleeping before my 2-year-old began banging on a “drum” and woke him up. Mind you, I normally do not have my children around, but my husband was home and her two older boys were here as well. And so we had one big happy family! =)
I just want to congratulate this sweet family on the arrival of their third boy - he’s precious to say the least!

Have a great weekend everyone! I will be back soon with some pictures from our Thanksgiving holiday weekend: think 6 kids under the age of 7!!! =)

{Sweet Light} Sheridan, Wyoming Family Photographer
I have been trying to get Part Two of this family’s session up on my blog for days, but unfortunately some sickness and other lovely things came my direction this past week. My little man is back in the croup season and I am, well, tired. ha. Poor kid can’t seem to escape the middle-of-the-night wake up calls, the seal-like barking, and the inevitable fight for oxygen. We ended up in the ER many times last winter, but have become wiser with Albuterol and Pulmacort; thank heavens for modern-day meds!! We’re surviving, nonetheless, and I am finishing up Christmas cards, orders, albums, and the like in the meantime before I can step back from the computer and just ENJOY my Christmas this year. =)
Anyway, I was so excited about these images. I just love the interactions, their beautiful property which will someday house their new home, and the LIGHT. Oh, sweet light. I will admit I was fighting with the sun that day as it shifted constantly during our session; one minute I’d have everything set up in this beautiful spot while the sun was tucked behind the clouds, and before I could even press the shutter, BAM, blinding sun! I think we worked it out though. Aside from the unpredictable sun and the cold temps, I think we stole away some very beautiful moments.

And perhaps my personal favorite from their session: (does this not represent every single family with little children?!) I am a firm believer in “perfectly imperfect” photographs as these are the REAL moments we want to remember with our children. With our loved ones. At least these are what I want to remember when I’m 80.

***AND IN THE SPIRIT OF THANKSGIVING…***
If you’re so inclined, let me know which image is your favorite in the comment section below, and I will give this family a complimentary 8×10 of whichever one is mentioned the most! =)
Thanks to this fun family, and I should be back this week with some pictures of my own kiddos. I got a present from Santa today and so my girlie and I went on a photo adventure this afternoon. {{LOVE HER.}} =)
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!
{Welcome to the World: Special} Sheridan, Wyoming Birth Photographer
Nothing is more exciting and monumental than welcoming a new life into the world; and having those beautiful and fleeting memories captured on film can make it that much sweeter. I’ve recently had the privilege of being invited to photograph the birth experience for two special clients, but as luck would have it, neither one worked out at the very last moment. Last night one of my clients welcomed her precious babe in record time as I was driving to the hospital! =)
What does birth photography entail? I will come to you, whether you are having a home birth or a hospital birth and capture this incredible time in a creative, documentary and sensitive way. I will be documenting the interactions between your spouse and children, some of the laboring experience, and of course the welcoming of the new baby! My style is entirely unobtrusive and documentary in nature so that you can labor peacefully with me in the background; in fact, you may not even know I’m there. ;)
And so, because this is an avenue I’ve been wanting to pursue for a very long time, I am running a special! I am now taking bookings for February (and beyond), and the first 2 ladies to book a maternity and/or newborn session with me will receive FREE birth photography (as well as a complimentary brag book of the event)!
Book now to take advantage of this offer! I can’t wait to meet you and your sweet babe(s)!

{Serenity} Sheridan, Wyoming Photographer
Today I photographed a beautiful family of five with three bustling, busy and gorgeous kiddos. Their ages: 4, 1 and 1. But the kicker is the one-year-olds are not twins; you do the math! =) Suffice it to say that this stunning couple rarely has a moment of peace. lol. And so I stole them away for a few moments (we won’t play the audio of what was transpiring in the background, lol) and this entirely beautiful image transpired.
When I got home and began downloading their images, I saw this one and my heart skipped a beat. I am just in LOVE with this shot. Perhaps one of my all-time favorites, although every session I have one or two that speaks to me in a deeper way.
Isn’t she lovely?!
I will be back next week with many more from this session. But until then, have a fabulous weekend!
