{Already Loved} Sheridan, Wyoming Maternity Photography
This morning I met up with all kinds of adorableness. Seriously, this lovely lady is 36 weeks pregnant and well, I’ll let you just SEE how incredible she looks! She and her friend came from out of town for her session, and when the weather said it was supposed to be snowing/raining all morning, I was feeling a bit stressed. But God smiled on us =) and the weather happened to be chilly, but perfect; I’m so happy we got it done outdoors! I kind of just love this girl – I knew of her back in high school (we won’t say how long ago that actually was) and although I didn’t know her well then, I photographed her beautiful family last year and have gotten to know her a little on FB ever since. She has three beautiful little red heads at home, and I’m suspecting another red head on the way??
Well, regardless of hair color, I am certain he will be absolutely beautiful like the rest!! And I cannot wait to meet him. =)
Here is baby #4 wrapped up in the absolute cutest package:

I am laughing at myself because this was supposed to be a “mini” shoot – hahahaha. I think I have 40 favorites!!! Let’s just say I typically overshoot because I just. can’t. help myself. =) I’m really looking forward to photographing this little person who is already so very loved, throughout his first year!! Stay tuned! =)
HAPPY EASTER!!! I’m off to dye Easter eggs with the kids!

is more than adorable. Well, most days, that is. =) After a much needed break, I’m so very much looking forward to playing with my camera again, especially to capture my own babies as time flies by. I have been completely engulfed in two things: cabinetry and vampires. Ha. I am half way through the Twighlight series and am absolutely. completely. hooked. I won’t know what to do with my evenings when the last page is read, but I’ve very much enjoyed getting back to one of my many indulgences: books. I love them. I just wish I had many more hours in my day to complete all the things I’d love to pour myself into. But for now, my loyalties will remain with my children, my um, vampires, cabinets (that are still not quite completed) and my upcoming clients! I’m so looking forward to 2010!
and one more from this “outdated” set taken a while back…I hadn’t played with some of these, and I was experimenting in Photoshop tonight, so let me know your thoughts on these two.

************And the website is now updated for 2010…finally there is some current work in my galleries!************

{Happy New Year, Part 2} Sheridan, WY Photographers
Sorry for the slight delay…I’m learning I really shouldn’t promise anything on this blog because my life seems to get away from me at times! At the moment, I’m painting my kitchen cabinets (endless amounts of cabinets) and it is sucking the life right out of me!
Actually, I’m quite enjoying most of it but it is so. very. time. consuming. I had planned to take January and February off from work and then….well, I created a whole new variety of work for myself. =) I’m getting the itch to start taking sessions again though, so hopefully I will finish this project sooner rather than later!!
As for sessions for new and returning clients, I will be posting some new specials and things (in addition to the current special) and will start booking mid February! Keep an eye out for those!
If you are interested in a spring session, get on the books now as I typically book 6-8 weeks in advance. I have some new collections and offerings this year that I think will be a huge hit; I’m getting very excited for a new year!!
Speaking of New Year, here is the second part of my 2009 Year-In-Review:
I truly have the most amazing clients!! I am so blessed! This sweet lady was one of my first sessions of 2009 and was so much fun to work with!

And she had one very cute little man, I might add:

This next family is one of my most treasured clients – I absolutely adore them! We met early in the year to photograph this handsome little guy:

And several months later, he’d grown up a little more and was about to become a big brother:

And then his baby sis arrived and my camera absolutely loved her!:

This next set is of one of my very favorite clients – I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for years and have enjoyed seeing their girls grow and getting to know their sweet mom:

And new clients that I feel so lucky to have met:

And another sweet baby girl I got to photograph; love those first few days and weeks (this first one has always cracked me up…it’s like she’s trying hard to answer a question!):

Okay, I’m realizing this is way harder than I ever thought possible!!! Picking just a few from each session feels like torture.
Okay, here we go. Keep going. =)
Onto one of my most memorable sessions of the entire year; I seriously fell in love with this family!

Well, seeing that I have another slew of client folders to get through, I will stop for today. More to come…and hopefully within the week! LOL. I’m off to put my painting clothes back on! =)
Have a happy weekend!

Although it’s now into the second week of January, I’ve recently been reflecting on all my wonderful clients this year and wanted to say a huge
THANK YOU
to each and every one of them! I truly had the best year ever, and I only have my valued and incredible clients to thank for that!! From awesome engagement and boudoir sessions (click both words to view more sensitive images), to family and newborn sessions, my time spent with each client was so rewarding and fulfilling! I feel incredibly blessed to work with such fun people, make such great friendships throughout the process, and do what I love most!
2009 in Review: (Part 2 and 3 coming over the weekend!)

Thanks for looking, and I’ll be back in a day or so with even more favorites from this past year!

{Welcome to the World: Special} Sheridan, Wyoming Birth Photographer
Nothing is more exciting and monumental than welcoming a new life into the world; and having those beautiful and fleeting memories captured on film can make it that much sweeter. I’ve recently had the privilege of being invited to photograph the birth experience for two special clients, but as luck would have it, neither one worked out at the very last moment. Last night one of my clients welcomed her precious babe in record time as I was driving to the hospital! =)
What does birth photography entail? I will come to you, whether you are having a home birth or a hospital birth and capture this incredible time in a creative, documentary and sensitive way. I will be documenting the interactions between your spouse and children, some of the laboring experience, and of course the welcoming of the new baby! My style is entirely unobtrusive and documentary in nature so that you can labor peacefully with me in the background; in fact, you may not even know I’m there.

And so, because this is an avenue I’ve been wanting to pursue for a very long time, I am running a special! I am now taking bookings for February (and beyond), and the first 2 ladies to book a maternity and/or newborn session with me will receive FREE birth photography (as well as a complimentary brag book of the event)!
Book now to take advantage of this offer! I can’t wait to meet you and your sweet babe(s)!

{Legacy Ministries} Sheridan, Wyoming Photography
I was excited to be able to give to this incredible organization, no matter how small the contribution of a photograph may be. Legacy Ministries is a resource that our little town, or small community has needed for so long – and you can already see the fruits of their labor.
Meet some of the beautiful women who have been given a little hope and a little encouragement as they became mothers to these beautiful babes – some outside and some still inside the womb!! =) I was only with these ladies for a few short minutes to get this photo, but I enjoyed meeting every single one of them!
Here is a photograph of most of them together, with their permission, of course!

Please make your way over to Legacy Pregnancy Center and support them in any way you can! Their mission is to “offer hope, help and restoration for those who are at-risk of, or are facing a crisis pregnancy.”
Have a happy Sunday! Oh, and please leave these girls some blog love – I see tons of visitors on my site the past week or so and would love to know who you are!

{Boys, Boys, Boys} Sheridan, Wyoming Maternity Photographer
When my husband and I first found out we were expecting a baby – and after the shock wore off – in my mind, I could only see myself with boys. All boys. I think secretly I dreaded the drama, the pink EVERYTHING, the tears, the boyfriends…well, you get the idea. And so, after our ultrasound about half-way through the ordeal, we discovered we were having a baby girl. GIRL. The first thing my husband said in the car on the way home (with eyes the size of saucers) was, “This is going to be expensive!” But within moments, the shock wore off, and the beautiful reality set in as we anxiously anticipated the arrival of our sweet girl. And it was amazing. And then our boy came along, and he was absolutely amazing too. And you know what?? I learned that God has a plan all His own that is so much bigger than ours – so much better than ours.
And so when I met up with this glowing mama the other day, she exuded complete confidence as I photographed her tiny baby bump (even though she’s due in just a few short weeks) all the while her two boys swirled around us. And the thought of another boy on the way didn’t seem to phase her – and my memory of wanting all boys came rushing back. The point of all this being that no matter what we’re given, each and every little person is just. such. a. miracle. I am so excited for her and for her to be surrounded with all her boys. =) Congratulations to this family – I cannot wait to meet the newest little man!
This first image is my absolute favorite from our session:

I loved both the color and bw on this next one…which do you prefer?

I’ll be waiting to hear about your little man’s arrival! Have a great week everyone!! I will try to post again with possibly a few of my own babies, one of which turns two on the 29th!! So incredibly hard to believe. Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

Soon-to-be Family of Four {Part 2}
Yesterday’s family session also included shots of the newest family member, all wrapped up in this cute package. =) Seriously, this must be the time for babies and beautiful pregnant women! This mama is due in just a few weeks – isn’t she beautiful? Feel free to leave a comment – I’d love to know which is your favorite! =)

Soon-to-be Family of Four {Part 1}
Today’s session was a little more fun than usual – when you combine an incredibly windy and surprisingly cold September morning, a busy toddler, shifting light and not much shade, you get a sweating photographer! lol. Actually, it all worked out for the best and we accomplished a very candid, raw and beautiful set of images of this lovely little family. I was lucky enough to photograph this little guy earlier this year and will be gracing this blog with pictures of his baby sister in just a few weeks! I really had a hard time choosing what to post…as always, lol…so please forgive me. That’s what happens when I work late at night, am indecisive to begin with and love my clients! =)

I will be posting a few of her belly from our little session tomorrow, so stay tuned! =) And thank you to this super sweet family – can’t wait to meet your little girl!

Sweet Babe
As promised, I wanted to post more images from my session yesterday – a session for a colleague (that sounds way too formal, lol) and friend of mine who is due to have her second baby in 7 short weeks! They don’t know whether they’re having a boy or a girl, which kinda adds to the excitement of the event. =) I enjoyed the beautiful light, her adorable bump and the thoughts of that precious little person all tucked inside – just waiting to make a grand entrance!! And so, here a *few* more from her session. If you would like to see all the images, please log on to my website and go to the “Featured” gallery within my portfolio. My website is due for its annual update (I really only have the time to do that once a year) but I wanted to add these to my featured gallery. Thanks for looking, and congratulations to this mama and her hubby!!!

I have a family session tomorrow, and a gorgeous bride to photograph on Saturday! Now if I can just get my arm to stop aching, life would be wonderful. I’m off for the night! =)
