{A Girl Can Dream} Wyoming Photography

Just had to post quickly about a SWEET give-away over at EPIPHANIE!!!

They are hosting a give-away for either a 5D Mark II or a $2500 certificate to Southwest Airlines!

WOW.  I am crossing all my fingers and toes for this one.  Head on over to enter!!

And because a post isn’t a post without a picture, I thought I’d post something that reminds me of spring.  As if the grass-green paint I just rolled on in my kitchen isn’t enough to give me spring fever, this is one of my very favorite things about summertime!!!

I

keep telling myself that spring is just around the corner, when really, I’m in complete denial that we may very well have two months left of winter here in Wyoming.  Ah well, the kids will be running around in their swim suits, popsicles in hand soon enough - I can’t wait!

{Framing} Sheridan, Wyoming Photographer

With 2010 sessions beginning next week, I wanted to give you a little sneak peek of some of the framing options that will now be exclusively available through Alissa Ferullo Photography!  I am so excited about these unique line of frames to complete your boutique photography experience, and they are not only GORGEOUS, but AFFORDABLE and are beautifully crafted.

These are such a small sampling of what your options will be, as you can select paint colors to match your decor (these were for my daughter’s room) or wood stain (more pictures to come) to compliment your home decor.  Every frame will be custom made to your specifications and can be made to fit any size print or collage!  Curved, straight or fluted, trim or no trim, wide or narrow, paint or stain - the sky’s the limit!

If you have a large print sitting around your house (which I know some of my clients do! =)) email me for pricing and lets get your artwork on display!!

I shall be back with two boudoir sessions next week!  2010 is looking to be so much fun and I am finally finishing up all kinds of goodies for my clients that will make your experience that much better.  I’m getting so excited!!!

{Mini Session for Kids} Sheridan, Wyoming Child Photographer

2010 is looking to be a fabulous year, and as the bookings line up and my time becomes less and less available I wanted to provide a way for families who prefer a quick, miniature session of their kiddos this year, to do just that.  =)

Here are the details!  Space is limited, so don’t hesitate to contact me early!

{Happy New Year, Part 2} Sheridan, WY Photographers

Sorry for the slight delay…I’m learning I really shouldn’t promise anything on this blog because my life seems to get away from me at times!  At the moment, I’m painting my kitchen cabinets (endless amounts of cabinets) and it is sucking the life right out of me!  ;)  Actually, I’m quite enjoying most of it but it is so. very. time. consuming.  I had planned to take January and February off from work and then….well, I created a whole new variety of work for myself.  =)  I’m getting the itch to start taking sessions again though, so hopefully I will finish this project sooner rather than later!!

As for sessions for new and returning clients, I will be posting some new specials and things (in addition to the current special) and will start booking mid February!  Keep an eye out for those!

If you are interested in a spring session, get on the books now as I typically book 6-8 weeks in advance.   I have some new collections and offerings this year that I think will be a huge hit; I’m getting very excited for a new year!!

Speaking of New Year, here is the second part of my 2009 Year-In-Review:

I truly have the most amazing clients!!  I am so blessed!  This sweet lady was one of my first sessions of 2009 and was so much fun to work with! And she had one very cute little man, I might add:

This next family is one of my most treasured clients - I absolutely adore them!  We met early in the year to photograph this handsome little guy:And several months later, he’d grown up a little more and was about to become a big brother:And then his baby sis arrived and my camera absolutely loved her!:This next set is of one of my very favorite clients - I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for years and have enjoyed seeing their girls grow and getting to know their sweet mom:And new clients that I feel so lucky to have met:And another sweet baby girl I got to photograph; love those first few days and weeks (this first one has always cracked me up…it’s like she’s trying hard to answer a question!):Okay, I’m realizing this is way harder than I ever thought possible!!!  Picking just a few from each session feels like torture.  ;)  Okay, here we go.  Keep going.  =)

Onto one of my most memorable sessions of the entire year; I seriously fell in love with this family!

Well, seeing that I have another slew of client folders to get through, I will stop for today.  More to come…and hopefully within the week!  LOL.  I’m off to put my painting clothes back on!  =)

Have a happy weekend!

{Happy New Year} Sheridan, Wyoming Photography

Although it’s now into the second week of January, I’ve recently been reflecting on all my wonderful clients this year and wanted to say a huge

THANK YOU

to each and every one of them!  I truly had the best year ever, and I only have my valued and incredible clients to thank for that!!  From awesome engagement and boudoir sessions (click both words to view more sensitive images), to family and newborn sessions, my time spent with each client was so rewarding and fulfilling!  I feel incredibly blessed to work with such fun people, make such great friendships throughout the process, and do what I love most!

2009 in Review: (Part 2 and 3 coming over the weekend!)

Thanks for looking, and I’ll be back in a day or so with even more favorites from this past year!

{Welcome to the World: Special} Sheridan, Wyoming Birth Photographer

Nothing is more exciting and monumental than welcoming a new life into the world; and having those beautiful and fleeting memories captured on film can make it that much sweeter.  I’ve recently had the privilege of being invited to photograph the birth experience for two special clients, but as luck would have it, neither one worked out at the very last moment.  Last night one of my clients welcomed her precious babe in record time as I was driving to the hospital!  =)

What does birth photography entail?  I will come to you, whether you are having a home birth or a hospital birth and capture this incredible time in a creative, documentary and sensitive way.  I will be documenting the interactions between your spouse and children, some of the laboring experience, and of course the welcoming of the new baby!  My style is entirely unobtrusive and documentary in nature so that you can labor peacefully with me in the background; in fact, you may not even know I’m there.  ;)

And so, because this is an avenue I’ve been wanting to pursue for a very long time, I am running a special! I am now taking bookings for February (and beyond), and the first 2 ladies to book a maternity and/or newborn session with me will receive FREE birth photography (as well as a complimentary brag book of the event)!

Book now to take advantage of this offer!  I can’t wait to meet you and your sweet babe(s)!

{Legacy Ministries} Sheridan, Wyoming Photography

I was excited to be able to give to this incredible organization, no matter how small the contribution of a photograph may be.  Legacy Ministries is a resource that our little town, or small community has needed for so long - and you can already see the fruits of their labor.

Meet some of the beautiful women who have been given a little hope and a little encouragement as they became mothers to these beautiful babes - some outside and some still inside the womb!!  =)  I was only with these ladies for a few short minutes to get this photo, but I enjoyed meeting every single one of them!

Here is a photograph of most of them together, with their permission, of course!

Please make your way over to Legacy Pregnancy Center and support them in any way you can!  Their mission is to “offer hope, help and restoration for those who are at-risk of, or are facing a crisis pregnancy.”

Have a happy Sunday!  Oh, and please leave these girls some blog love - I see tons of visitors on my site the past week or so and would love to know who you are!  ;)

{Style Me Pretty} Sheridan, Wyoming Photographer

I was SOOOO EXCITED to discover some of my images from Jessica Claire’s workshop were featured on one of the most popular and stylish wedding blogs out there: Style Me Pretty!  In case you aren’t aware, Style Me Pretty is a nationally renowned blog that caters to all facets of the wedding industry from brides, designers, photographers, wedding vendors, and basically anyone and everyone who adores stylish goodies!!  A big thank you Abby Larson, for choosing to feature a few of my images - I am so honored, humbled and thrilled to be among such talented photographers!!!

For all your brides out there, you MUST subscribe to her blog - she has such fabulous entries and trend-setting ideas - don’t miss out!!

I couldn’t seem to do a screen capture from her site (and didn’t want to bore you with a text-only post!), and so I thought I’d share one quick detail from that event.

Have a great weekend everyone!!

{Collage/Storyboard} Sheridan, Wyoming Photographer

I wanted to share a quick Storyboard/Collage that arrived in my mailbox recently for a client.  I often have clients asking what exactly IS a “Storyboard” or a “Collage”, and this is exactly what it entails.  Multiple images combined into one photograph with a clean, simple layout.  I typically try to keep the images I include to a minimum, although I’ve designed a few where more images adds to the feel of the piece, but simplicity really is key when creating art such as this for your wall.  All Storyboards are mounted and sprayed to add protection from fingerprints, light, dust, etc.  The spray not only adds to the longevity of your image, but also allows for display without glass - the very best part!  No glare and no diversion from your beautiful images.  I’ve had mine hung for a year and they’ve never even needed a dusting.  =)  Well, maybe they have and I just haven’t noticed!  I’m realizing lately I perhaps need not only an assistant, but a live-in maid!!  A girl can dream, right?  Anyway, I hope this answers some questions and I will try to do a better job of sharing albums and other specialty products made available through Alissa Ferullo Photography!
