{Mentoring Ideas} Sheridan, Wyoming Photographer
I absolutely *LOVE* what I do and really enjoy sharing my experience and knowledge with others. I’ve loved taking pictures since I was a little girl and cannot imagine doing anything else for my career! There is something magical about capturing a beautiful moment that is then preserved forever – a memory you get to mull over for years to come. And the thing I love most about what I do is not only creating these images for my children, but also doing that for YOU.
I have considered two options that may interest my local clientele: a workshop for moms wanting to take better pictures of their kids, and also a little photography camp for kids/teens.
I am also open to the idea of working with other photographers just getting started who want to build their business and grow their photography skills.
I get emails almost daily about certain aspects of my business and have had quite a few inquiries over the past year regarding whether or not I’d ever teach. I’ve thought about it for a while and would love to know where your interests lie, who you are and what you might be looking for.
I have one exciting idea that is about to enter the planning stages for 2011 (this is BIG!) =), but in the mean time, I would love to pick your brain and see what might be a good fit for me and YOU.
Please vote below so I can get a better idea of how much interest is out there and what ya’ll want! =)
****IF you are interested and vote in the poll below, PLEASE SHOOT ME AN EMAIL OR LEAVE A COMMENT WITH YOUR NAME so I can add you to the contact list! Thanks, and I’m excited to hear from you!****
And because a post is never very fun without some eye candy to go with it, here are a few random favorites:

Remember to leave your name in the comment section and/or email me! (I have several votes with no names) Thanks!! =)
***EDITED TO ADD 4/30/10: For those of you who have expressed interest in having me come to your city, please contact me with the location you have in mind. Thank you!!!***

{All Kinds of Pretty} Sheridan, WY Boudoir Photography
This afternoon I was again blessed with a beautiful client surprising her husband with a gift! We had a little fun, and these first two just brought out the vintage in me. If you follow my blog at all, you know I’m a vintage lover. In fact, I could process everything that way and be happy most days…
but then color sneaks back in and I love it too…
I always try to get a ring shot…not sure why…but it captures some sentimental value of what you are trying to accomplish – it’s all about preserving your youth and your beauty for not only your husband, but for yourself. All wrapped up into a box of leathery goodness! =)
If you or someone you know is interested in a Diva Session, contact me and we can get you on the books! The boudoir sessions are classy, fun, relaxed, and will give you a beautiful album to gift your husband for his birthday, anniversary or just because! =)
Thank you to this lovely lady for a fun afternoon, and also for her allowing me to share here on the blog!

{Sweet Sun} Sheridan, WY Child Photographer
My last week has been craziness, starting off with a cold for me that trickled on down to my kiddos. Sophia then had a severe case of croup the night before last, and so off we went to the ER in the middle of the night after attempting to ease her breathing with other methods. You get to a point where the waiting is more stressful than just putting your baby in the car and driving, and it was one of those moments. I was seriously starting to panic on the way there, wondering if I’d be pulling over to perform CPR rather than making our way to the hospital. I just kept asking her if she was still breathing and she couldn’t even talk, just shook her head with big, big eyes. Poor baby. I *flew* most of the way to the hospital from our house just outside of town, and once she got both the inhaled and oral steroids to reduce the swelling in her throat, things calmed down right away. I was so relieved. It worked miracles and we were able to leave within a few hours. And so I am exhausted with both kids getting up repeatedly, not to mention a miserable head cold that is causing headaches and incessant sneezing up until today. =) haha. Laugh, it’s okay. I really did look quite special after a few days with no shower and no sleep.
BUT, today the sun seemed to shine a little brighter and this afternoon the kids discovered a mound of dirt just behind our house. And they dug with their gardening tools for HOURS. I snapped away, but just wanted to share one quick one of my sweet girl with dirt all over her sweet face (although this one looks like it was from the beginning…by the end, they were completely covered!) =).
I LOVE YOU KID! =)

{Frills: A Sneak Peek} Sheridan, Wyoming Boudoir Photography
Yesterday I had a boudoir shoot with such a beautiful, sweet, lovely woman who is planning an album for her groom this summer! She was absolutely gorgeous, confident and as kind as can be – and all her images are beyond stunning. Her husband-to-be is going to FLIP! =) I wish I could share them all, but I’m keeping it to one simple image that conveys her beauty so very well.
I have another boudoir shoot/Diva Session on Friday, so stay tuned!
Happy Monday!

{Turning 3} Sheridan, Wyoming Child Photographer
Yesterday I got to chase this adorable little ball of energy!
Her mom and I met up, and the entire scenario was basically me running after child, mom trailing behind us carrying enormous amounts of balloons, and said child completely oblivious to any of said nonsense. She was much too busy with important things like exploring, playing with twigs and branches and showing me how fast she could run. And she was FAST! =) But I did my best to keep up with this precious little girlie, who is happily turning 3 very soon. And so we had a birthday celebration, complete with enough balloons to carry her away…
and plenty of pink phloof to go around (thank you Miss Kamee for coining such a perfect word, phloof – I personally think they should add it to Websters!) =)…
She was such a little doll baby – I just adored her curiosity and little independent streak that reminds me so much of my own.

and one of my personal favorites from the day:
well, I kind of love them all…
and one last favorite:
Thank you to these girls for a very fun afternoon full of giggles, workouts, and so many colorful balloons! Hope you love them, and Happy Birthday Miss H!!!

{Pretty Baby} Photographers in Sheridan, Wyoming
A very talented friend of mine (famous portrait artist Mara Schasteen) made her way over this morning to paint some pretty little things on Sophia’s walls, all the while I was admiring her pretty little girlie.
As the other kiddos played wildly, I decided to snap a few quick shots and surprise her mama. I photographed this little peanut when she was 6 months (see those HERE) and she has grown up so adorable!!!
Mind you, these are in my house and have nothing too fancy to them, but her beautiful little self is all a great photo really requires.

Hope you all had a lovely Easter, and if you haven’t seen Mara’s work, check it out!!!

{Already Loved} Sheridan, Wyoming Maternity Photography
This morning I met up with all kinds of adorableness. Seriously, this lovely lady is 36 weeks pregnant and well, I’ll let you just SEE how incredible she looks! She and her friend came from out of town for her session, and when the weather said it was supposed to be snowing/raining all morning, I was feeling a bit stressed. But God smiled on us =) and the weather happened to be chilly, but perfect; I’m so happy we got it done outdoors! I kind of just love this girl – I knew of her back in high school (we won’t say how long ago that actually was) and although I didn’t know her well then, I photographed her beautiful family last year and have gotten to know her a little on FB ever since. She has three beautiful little red heads at home, and I’m suspecting another red head on the way??
Well, regardless of hair color, I am certain he will be absolutely beautiful like the rest!! And I cannot wait to meet him. =)
Here is baby #4 wrapped up in the absolute cutest package:

I am laughing at myself because this was supposed to be a “mini” shoot – hahahaha. I think I have 40 favorites!!! Let’s just say I typically overshoot because I just. can’t. help myself. =) I’m really looking forward to photographing this little person who is already so very loved, throughout his first year!! Stay tuned! =)
HAPPY EASTER!!! I’m off to dye Easter eggs with the kids!
