Just one for today.  :)

My friend Lindsey is an incredible photographer in the Denver, CO area and is someone I admire very much, both as a mother and also as a photographer.  We were able to swap a few photos of each other’s families during the holidays, and I was grateful to not only capture her with her clan, but also get some of me with my own peanuts.  :)  So many more to share from her session!!  And absolutely check out her work – she is so. so. good!

I’ve been busy over here editing, finishing up weddings from last year, getting things squared away for 2012, and tying up various other odds and ends.  I do have a lot to share here on the blog, so stay tuned!  Hope you’re all having a fabulous start to the new year!!!

{Photographer Friends} Sheridan, Wyoming Family Photographers

11.28.11

A while back, I met a fellow photographer through a mentoring session she’d set up with me, and she just happened to be one of those people I was instantly drawn to: her incredible personality, bubbly nature and drive to pursue her dreams definitely made an impression on me.  We have kept in touch here and there, and I was ecstatic when she booked a family session with me.  Truly, it’s always an honor to photograph another photographer and as moms in the same profession, we both know the need of capturing some memories with us on the other side of the camera.  Jen, it was so good to meet your whole clan!  Thank you for coming all that way and braving the cold!

I had a very hard time picking and wouldn’t be surprised if she picks an entirely different set of images for her order, but these caught my eye and at some point, I had to choose.  lol.

And a few with her sweet husband….aren’t they such a sweet pair?!?!  So happy.  So in love….

Jen, you are beautiful….

{A Little Estrogen for Your Day} Sheridan, Wyoming Family Photographer

11.15.11

This beautiful family traveled from a distance, braved the freezing temps with 4 gorgeous girls and 6 upbeat attitudes, and happened to make a cold Wyoming day feel great, even if my fingers were so numb I could barely work my camera buttons!  =)  I’ve been excited to share these images and thank them for their patience!  Things are insanely busy this direction with so many sessions and incredible moments to capture; I am feeling so grateful to have such a rewarding job that brings the most wonderful people into my world!!

And this family is no exception – aside from the freezing temps, I had so much fun with them and think we got some very warm and beautiful images:

{Baby Love II} Family Photography in Sheridan, Wyoming

10.22.11

I was so excited when I heard from this particular mama again after photographing her newborn just a year ago – the newborn shoot of her little girl was one of my favorites and I just fell in love with the both of them.  So a year later, with blond hair, big brown eyes, and getting around like it’s nobody’s business, I was so happy to see the little Miss again and how much she’d grown.  The day was dreary and the clouds ominous, but we made the most of the dark lighting and I love what we came up with!

{4 Generations} Child and Family Photographer in Sheridan, Wyoming

10.12.11

What can be better than 4 generations all in one place at one time?  When a past client of mine called, excited to set up something while her 94-year-old grandfather was here visiting, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity.  Although the day was a little cold and the littles were less than thrilled to be outdoors, I think we got some beautiful images and I’m just grateful we got to document this moment in time for them.

The little guy wanted to stay put over on the end, close to his grandpa, so I grabbed several of the little Miss with her Great-Grandfather…

And we stole a few moments with just the last two generations too…

And a snippet of real life =)…between the cold chill in the air and the need for a bottle, we were about done.  And yet it happens to be my favorite from this family of the day…

And the world was right again…

Thank you so much to this family for letting me capture these memories for you!  I enjoyed meeting the first two generations and getting to reconnect with the last two.  =)  Enjoy your week everyone!

{Beautiful Girls} Sheridan, Wyoming Family Photographers

10.11.11

I can’t think of anything cuter than babies, especially the toddling, smiling, full-of-spunk, sweet-as-pie, personality-plus kind of babies.  The ones that carry purses full of their prized possessions at 17-months-old, and say “yea!!” with laughable enthusiasm to almost everything spoken.  (I’m sure a few “no’s” are uttered once in a while too, lol).  I also happen to have such a soft spot for big sisters who genuinely love their sibling, the ones that are absolutely beautiful inside and out, who don’t mind all the ooohing and ahhhing over their beaming little counterparts, but are secure in their own selves.  This shoot had both.

I photographed this little peanut just days after her birth, and I will never forget how beautiful she was.  (View that session HERE.)  And it’s so fun to see how these beautiful little newborns grow into toddlers filled with sweetness and spunk.   She was definitely front and center in all her pink goodness…

always chasing after her big sis…

who happens to be absolutely gorgeous, in fact, between the two girls, I think their daddy best prepare himself now…

I think they are beyond blessed to have such a beautiful clan…

and at the end of the day, to have each other…

{Just 6} Sheridan, Wyoming Family Photographer

10.07.11

I have been photographing this family for several years and have documented smiles, baby bellies, newborn days, laughter, fun, and LOVE.  I always know that when I photograph this growing group of red heads, that fun and spunk and laughter will be involved.  ;)  Last weekend was no different.  They travel several hours to get here, bound out of the car with 4 little balls of energy and two parents that seem to just go with the flow, even with all the hustle and bustle of life with 4 children.  They are together and living life to the fullest.  And I think they do it pretty well  =)

And one of my favorite family shots ever…just because all the little people are doing their own thing and it made me laugh.  Real life captured in a frame…

And the newest member of the walking club…

And a couple that can actually stop, with 4 small people swirling around them, and notice each other.  See each other.  They are so stinkin’ cute…

And another favorite…not in focus…somewhere in between…and yet so real and beautiful to me…

{Where The Heart Is} Sheridan, Wyoming + Montana Family Photographer

10.03.11

Family is all about heart for me.  My babies make my heart skip a beat when I see them.  Especially when I haven’t been with them in 7 days too long.  I think our families, our significant others, our precious littles should absolutely cause a skip in the rhythm of the heart every so often – preferably every day.  I am learning that living means loving and laughing and living in the moment every. single. day.  And this family has a strong heart beat, if you will, you can see and witness that they adore each other.  They know what matters and have a strength about them that I admire.  Not to mention, their little people are beyond adorable…

This little man has a way about him that is going to break some hearts someday.  But for now, he’s oblivious to just how handsome he is…although when I informed him of that, he did agree.  ;)

And he adores his parents so much…

And need I really say anything about the next image???  =)  I think it’s one of my all-time favorites…

And that little miss behind the cowboy hat is seriously the spunkiest, sweetest, most adorable ball of energy I’ve ever laid eyes on…

The above image cracks me up every time I look at it.  ;)  I love babies, especially babies in cowboy boots.  =)

I have such a soft spot for this family after watching them with their first baby boy, then the expectation of little V, then her birth and family pictures all along the way.  I treasure return clients and count them as friends.  THANK YOU for allowing me to document your life.  Living and loving to the fullest.  That’s what it’s all about.  Happy Monday everybody!

{Jerry Maguire & all Kinds of Sweetness} Sheridan, Wyoming + Montana Family Photographer

09.29.11

This family was the highlight of my week…so far.  =)  Their two little boys were absolutely darling, and the oldest tugged at my heart strings during our hour together.  He reminded me so much of the little boy of Jerry Maguire, I can’t even explain his adorable little demeanor…

I came home and informed my boyfriend that if this child were up for adoption, we would now have 5 children between the two of us.  ;)  It’s not like we don’t already get the brady bunch comment enough already, what’s one more, right?  ;)  But, I think his parents would never actually go for the idea, so I settled for simply capturing him and his sweet brother and parents for the afternoon.  And I love what we got…

and this little peanut was also equally adorable.  He had the biggest little baby eyes and wasn’t quite sure whether to join us, or run!  ;)

Thank you so much to this family for driving a few hours to come and spend time with me!!  I loved every minute, and I’m always so grateful, truly, to capture memories for people.  And usually these “people” become my friends.  I can’t tell you how much I love documenting relationships and getting a glimpse into the lives of people who genuinely cherish and love each other.  That was this family.  =)
