Big Reveal Part 2 | Sheridan, Wyoming Studio Photographers

studio_collage_retry

As I celebrate 10 years in business, my heart is so full of gratitude…gratitude for God’s leading, my incredible clients, and friends & family who believed in me; your love and support has meant the world!!!  You have made my little dream of capturing memories as a hobby, become a full-time career of documenting people’s lives as a professional wedding and portrait photographer.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!  The support of this small community has been tremendous, and so many of my clients have become friends through the years; how lucky am I?!  Truly, thank you.  From the bottom of my heart.  When you support local businesses like mine, you support our livelihood, our children and our families!

As business has grown, my dreams & vision have grown too.  Studio renovations began in December 2015, but shortly afterward I was diagnosed with a rare, large (benign) vascular tumor behind my knee.  And so began a year of trips to Denver, multiple surgeries (9 and counting), difficult recoveries and dreams put on hold.  Temporarily, that is.  ;-)  Although my plan was an early 2016 launch, God had other ideas.  I’ve learned that He’s in charge, not me (thank goodness) and so…the time is now!!!  And I couldn’t be more excited!!!!

INTRODUCING…

{Baby’s First Year} Sheridan, Wyoming Baby + Child Photographers

This sweet family has been some of my most treasured clients, and when she divulged she was having her 4th child, we knew the “First Year Baby Plan” was the perfect choice to document this little man’s infancy into toddlerhood.  We did maternity, newborn, 3 month, 6 month (captured during a family shoot) and 1-year pictures to capture him growing, laughing, and becoming a little boy.  Truly, this plan is the most perfect (and cost effective!) way to capture your baby’s first year of life.  It only happens once!

Here is a little recap…

In the womb:

New to the world:

3 Months:

6 Months (done at a family shoot):

And his 1-Year-Old pics taken last week:

Thank you a million times over for allowing me to capture your little man throughout his first year!!!  I have so appreciated getting to know you and now calling you a friend.  xo

{Waiting} Sheridan, WY Baby + Maternity Photography

There is absolutely nothing like waiting on the arrival of your first child.

It is nothing short of magical: the excitement of meeting a brand new life that is all yours, the love that you already feel and know for a baby you’ve never met, and the emotions you experience with your significant other in expectation of a brand new beginning, together, as a threesome.

This mama and her hubby have had many years together and are now going to become a family.  And she is glowing as every beautiful mama should be…

Waiting on her newest Love.

Anticipating all that will be.

And all that this little one will become.

Life is about to change in every way possible, and the possibilities are endless.

Wishing these three a beautiful life as a family of three!  Thank you for letting me be a part of this, and I cannot wait to meet the newest family member!!

I know that Alissa is a very talented photographer; that is evidenced by her entire website! However, this "gig" must have been super easy since she has such a lovely and kind subject. :-) Your outward appearance is gorgeous, your heart is pure and devoted to your faith and your family and you glow with a new Love that is so intense and wonderful. It has been an amazing journey for me and I am elated that you are so fortunate to experience that too. It's going to be great being a mommy with you. {Already Loved} Sheridan, Wyoming Maternity Photography

This morning I met up with all kinds of adorableness.  Seriously, this lovely lady is 36 weeks pregnant and well, I’ll let you just SEE how incredible she looks!  She and her friend came from out of town for her session, and when the weather said it was supposed to be snowing/raining all morning, I was feeling a bit stressed.  But God smiled on us =) and the weather happened to be chilly, but perfect; I’m so happy we got it done outdoors!  I kind of just love this girl – I knew of her back in high school (we won’t say how long ago that actually was) and although I didn’t know her well then, I photographed her beautiful family last year and have gotten to know her a little on FB ever since.  She has three beautiful little red heads at home, and I’m suspecting another red head on the way??  ;)  Well, regardless of hair color, I am certain he will be absolutely beautiful like the rest!!  And I cannot wait to meet him.  =)

Here is baby #4 wrapped up in the absolute cutest package:

I am laughing at myself because this was supposed to be a “mini” shoot – hahahaha.  I think I have 40 favorites!!!  Let’s just say I typically overshoot because I just. can’t. help myself.  =) I’m really looking forward to photographing this little person who is already so very loved, throughout his first year!!  Stay tuned!  =)

HAPPY EASTER!!!  I’m off to dye Easter eggs with the kids!

{Happy New Year, Part 2} Sheridan, WY Photographers

Sorry for the slight delay…I’m learning I really shouldn’t promise anything on this blog because my life seems to get away from me at times!  At the moment, I’m painting my kitchen cabinets (endless amounts of cabinets) and it is sucking the life right out of me!  ;)  Actually, I’m quite enjoying most of it but it is so. very. time. consuming.  I had planned to take January and February off from work and then….well, I created a whole new variety of work for myself.  =)  I’m getting the itch to start taking sessions again though, so hopefully I will finish this project sooner rather than later!!

As for sessions for new and returning clients, I will be posting some new specials and things (in addition to the current special) and will start booking mid February!  Keep an eye out for those!

If you are interested in a spring session, get on the books now as I typically book 6-8 weeks in advance.   I have some new collections and offerings this year that I think will be a huge hit; I’m getting very excited for a new year!!

Speaking of New Year, here is the second part of my 2009 Year-In-Review:

I truly have the most amazing clients!!  I am so blessed!  This sweet lady was one of my first sessions of 2009 and was so much fun to work with! And she had one very cute little man, I might add:

This next family is one of my most treasured clients – I absolutely adore them!  We met early in the year to photograph this handsome little guy:And several months later, he’d grown up a little more and was about to become a big brother:And then his baby sis arrived and my camera absolutely loved her!:This next set is of one of my very favorite clients – I’ve had the pleasure of working with them for years and have enjoyed seeing their girls grow and getting to know their sweet mom:And new clients that I feel so lucky to have met:And another sweet baby girl I got to photograph; love those first few days and weeks (this first one has always cracked me up…it’s like she’s trying hard to answer a question!):Okay, I’m realizing this is way harder than I ever thought possible!!!  Picking just a few from each session feels like torture.  ;)  Okay, here we go.  Keep going.  =)

Onto one of my most memorable sessions of the entire year; I seriously fell in love with this family!

Well, seeing that I have another slew of client folders to get through, I will stop for today.  More to come…and hopefully within the week!  LOL.  I’m off to put my painting clothes back on!  =)

Have a happy weekend!

{Legacy Ministries} Sheridan, Wyoming Photography

I was excited to be able to give to this incredible organization, no matter how small the contribution of a photograph may be.  Legacy Ministries is a resource that our little town, or small community has needed for so long – and you can already see the fruits of their labor.

Meet some of the beautiful women who have been given a little hope and a little encouragement as they became mothers to these beautiful babes – some outside and some still inside the womb!!  =)  I was only with these ladies for a few short minutes to get this photo, but I enjoyed meeting every single one of them!

Here is a photograph of most of them together, with their permission, of course!

Please make your way over to Legacy Pregnancy Center and support them in any way you can!  Their mission is to “offer hope, help and restoration for those who are at-risk of, or are facing a crisis pregnancy.”

Have a happy Sunday!  Oh, and please leave these girls some blog love – I see tons of visitors on my site the past week or so and would love to know who you are!  ;)

{Boys, Boys, Boys} Sheridan, Wyoming Maternity Photographer

When my husband and I first found out we were expecting a baby – and after the shock wore off – in my mind, I could only see myself with boys.  All boys.  I think secretly I dreaded the drama, the pink EVERYTHING, the tears, the boyfriends…well, you get the idea.  And so, after our ultrasound about half-way through the ordeal, we discovered we were having a baby girl.  GIRL.  The first thing my husband said in the car on the way home (with eyes the size of saucers) was, “This is going to be expensive!”  But within moments, the shock wore off, and the beautiful reality set in as we anxiously anticipated the arrival of our sweet girl.  And it was amazing.  And then our boy came along, and he was absolutely amazing too.  And you know what??  I learned that God has a plan all His own that is so much bigger than ours – so much better than ours.   ;)

And so when I met up with this glowing mama the other day, she exuded complete confidence as I photographed her tiny baby bump (even though she’s due in just a few short weeks) all the while her two boys swirled around us.  And the thought of another boy on the way didn’t seem to phase her – and my memory of wanting all boys came rushing back.  The point of all this being that no matter what we’re given, each and every little person is just. such. a. miracle.    I am so excited for her and for her to be surrounded with all her boys.  =)  Congratulations to this family – I cannot wait to meet the newest little man!

This first image is my absolute favorite from our session:

I loved both the color and bw on this next one…which do you prefer?
I’ll be waiting to hear about your little man’s arrival!  Have a great week everyone!!  I will try to post again with possibly a few of my own babies, one of which turns two on the 29th!!  So incredibly hard to believe.  Anyway, thanks for stopping by!

Soon-to-be Family of Four {Part 1}

Today’s session was a little more fun than usual – when you combine an incredibly windy and surprisingly cold September morning, a busy toddler, shifting light and not much shade, you get a sweating photographer!  lol.  Actually, it all worked out for the best and we accomplished a very candid, raw and beautiful set of images of this lovely little family.  I was lucky enough to photograph this little guy earlier this year and will be gracing this blog with pictures of his baby sister in just a few weeks!  I really had a hard time choosing what to post…as always, lol…so please forgive me.  That’s what happens when I work late at night, am indecisive to begin with and love my clients!  =)

I will be posting a few of her belly from our little session tomorrow, so stay tuned!  =)  And thank you to this super sweet family – can’t wait to meet your little girl!
